A day trip to Legoland for Atrin's birthday
Legoland Malaysia Resort is located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. We had heard so much about it and were keen to visit. Apparently, it is the first international theme park in Malaysia, with over 40 interactive rides, shows, and attractions, making it a must-see tourist destination.
Bad idea and bad decision! Sometimes it is easier to stick to the original plan and drive to the holiday destination rather than choosing the quicker way of taking a flight, if possible. Trust me, we had done it, and it went terribly wrong. It was my eldest daughter's 9th birthday, and we had planned to take her and her best friend to Legoland in Johor on a day trip. We could have driven about 4 hours to get there, but instead we decided to go with the 40-minute cheap flight option. We drove from Kuala Lumpur to the airport, left our car there, checked in, took the flight, and a taxi ride from the Johor airport to Legoland, which took way longer and cost twice the price we had anticipated.

The day at Legoland was filled with fun, good food, laughter, and exciting rides. Richard and I likely enjoyed the day more than the girls did - it was definitely worthwhile. The park was divided into several major areas, each featuring attractions with a common theme. However, our time at Legoland came to an end, and we had to head back to the airport. Here's where disaster struck - our flight was delayed by two hours. There was nothing to do at the small airport, and nowhere to sit. We arrived back in Kuala Lumpur very late and absolutely exhausted. It would have been much better if I had driven there, but I didn't.
