The Art of Finding Joy in the Ordinary​

Many people think happiness is a destination. For me, happiness is much closer to home. It is found in the simple, quiet moments of the day: the aroma of freshly brewed tea, the sound of my children's laughter, or the way the afternoon light fills my living room.

I don't wait for special occasions to bring out the good china or wear something that makes me feel beautiful. I choose to find joy in the ordinary, to practise gratitude, and to smile more—even when life gets hectic.

Whatever I do, I approach it with integrity, honesty, and transparency. I give my best in everything because I believe that if something is worth doing, it deserves my full commitment. More often than not, that dedication leads to the results I hope for. And when it doesn't, I trust that it happened for a reason. I believe every setback carries a lesson, and that the universe has something even better planned for me.

Embracing the "Atiyeh" Way​

If you ask my family, they'll tell you that life with me is never boring. I have a rather unique set of quirks that keep our household lively. For one, my sense of direction is... let's call it non-traditional. I'm far more likely to discover a beautiful hidden path than the actual route I was supposed to take.

My brain also operates on its own wonderfully unique timeline. I'm a proud dyslexic—or at least I strongly suspect I am, even though I've never been formally diagnosed, as I seem to tick all the boxes. My mind processes the world through colours, patterns, and connections that others might overlook. It also means that if you tell me a clever joke, you may have to wait five minutes for the punchline to land!

One thing that comes naturally to me, though, is finding the good in people and situations. No matter the challenge, I can usually spot the positive or the silver lining, and I genuinely believe there's something to learn or appreciate in every experience.
